Field notes on journeys into expansive spaces

Studio Itinerary

x3 bits of culture to add into your weekend itinerary

1. Event: Live music at Shredenhams

Skatepark energy meets live music this Sunday as Shredenhams hosts Jack Bessant founding member of Reef for a genre-blending set of heavy rock, folk, and blues. With arcade games, pool tables, fresh-made pizza, and full skatepark access, it’s an all-day, all-ages event built for good vibes. Skate sessions are split by age, giving everyone their time to shine. Doors open at 12PM, live music from 2PM.

2. Podcast: Chain Reaction

Running isn’t just about moving forward, it’s about everything that happens along the way. The Chain Reaction Podcast explores the stories runners carry with them: conversations shared under streetlights, bonds built in early-morning meetups, and the deep, personal reasons we lace up and head out. This isn’t a podcast about personal bests, it’s about presence, community, and the culture that thrives between the miles.

3. Book: A Designer’s Eye by Paul Rand

Take a peek into the private world of Paul Rand, one of the 20th century’s most influential graphic minds. This new photo essay uncovers a lifetime of collected objects from curious packaging to charming toys, each offering a window into his creative process. With a foreword by JP Williams, a former student and close friend, this collection isn’t just a design reference, it’s a study in how everyday items can spark extraordinary ideas. GRAB A COPY
