Field notes on journeys into expansive spaces

New Horizons

Who said magazines should only open one way?

We love an unorthodox approach to design.

And Orienteer Mapazine hits the spot with their unique ‘mapagzine’ design.

Their cross fold design layout, inspired by Ordnance Survey maps, is a refreshing and original spin on magazine layout design.

But there’s more to Orienteer Mapazine than their unorthodox design.

Founded in London by stylist Jack West and photographer Rory Griffin, Orienteer is a magazine and online platform, dedicated to celebrating all things related to the outdoors from activities, lifestyle, fashion and much more.

Orienteer also serves as a platform for designers, artists, photographers and outdoor enthusiasts can share their work, spanning topics inspired by fashion and the outdoors world.

Since their early beginnings hand folding each mapazine, Orienteer has grown into a 240-page print magazine, packed with a broad spectrum of topics inspired by the outdoors landscape, from technical fashion to outdoor lifestyle and innovations alike.
