Innovation doesn’t always have to be about creating something new.
It can be something as simple as finding a new approach to an old method.
And that’s exactly what this week’s Creative Explorer has achieved.
Aydin Büyüktas hasn’t reinvented photography, but his approach to capturing images is pretty innovative.
Like scenes reminiscent of the epic Christopher Nolan movie ‘Inception’ Aydin takes a less conventional approach to drone photography.
Rather than a single perspective, Aydin captures a multitude of perspectives in one single image.
That simply bends your mind!
But just how does it do it?
A location is shot from several different angles.
Then each shot is carefully stitched together in Photoshop to produce each mind warping image.
(At the beginning each image was collated physically to produce the illusion of curved and bending landscapes!)
Aydin’ innovative approach to creating otherworldly cities and landscapes hasn’t gone unnoticed.
With commissioned work for the likes of Volkswagen, Dropbox and Audi to name a few on top of a host of exhibition and print covers.
Your head might get a little dizzy but we highly recommend you check out Aydin’s work in full, you won’t be disappointed.
Aydin’s warped-eye-view of cityscapes and landscapes has certainly captured people’s attention. With commissioned work for the likes of Volkswagen, Dropbox and Audi to name a few.
And not to mention a host of exhibition and magazine covers.
We highly recommend you check out Aydin’s work, Flatlands is a personal favourite of ours.
