‘Burnable Billboards’ illuminate the hidden danger of UV exposure

Wonderhood Studios and The British Skin Foundation have launched a bold new DOOH campaign that shows sun damage happening in real time. Using live UV data across screens in London, Southampton, and Manchester, ‘The Burnable Billboard’ visualises sunburn progression on different skin tones with medical precision.

The campaign blends AI technology with dermatological expertise, creating thousands of frames that realistically simulate skin damage. It’s a powerful reminder that sun protection matters year-round, as research reveals 38% of Brits suffered spring sunburn but only 27% use proper protection.

This campaign exemplifies how technology and creativity can combine to drive public health messaging with impact and urgency.
