5 x bits of culture to add to your weekend itinerary

Here’s 5 x bits of culture to have caught our eye over the last week

Be sure to add these into your weekend itinerary:

1. Book: One for the experienced and beginners of design. Learn everything you need to know to design fonts from A to Z with Blaze Types: How to design fonts.

2. Hotel: The unique coastal HOMA hotel is a brutalist and minimalistic boutique hotel in Vagia, Serfois Island of Greece. Embedded into the scarred landscape that was home to intense mining in times gone by. Who’s up for a visit?

3.

Music: Blurs first new song in 8 years, The Narcissist certainly sets the tone for things to come on the band’s forthcoming album, The Ballad of Darren, we can’t wait can you?

4. With 6 dedicated food outlets, 2 bar areas, a coffee shop and a variety of locally focused food and drink vendors, Blackpool’s Abingdon Street Market is well worth a visit.

5. Exhibition: If you’re in London during the half term, go and scout an unknown planet on board a unique spaceship, and investigate how scientists and science fiction creators have imagined and built new worlds to better understand our own at the Science Fiction: Voyage to the edge of imagination at London’s Science Museum.
