Field notes on journeys into expansive spaces

Creative Explorers

Introducing: Willem de Haan

Unleashing creativity in the wild!

We’ve been diving into the world of pop-ups this week.

And with that, we’re putting a spotlight on multidisciplinary artist Willem de Haan and his works.

Whose work, we feel falls fittingly into this.

Know for is often absurb and comical immersive installations.

From Highrise Campsites that can house 12 campers on minimal ground to Festival Toilets filled with ‘famous spots to urinate in public’ at the Kaapstad Festival.

Willem looks to challenge and influence daily situations through his immersive installations and works.

Much in the way props influence fictional stories in films and theatre.

His work is creative, comedic and thought provoking.

And like us, we hope you all look forward to more of his work popping up on your radars.
