Field notes on journeys into expansive spaces

Creative Explorers

Introducing: Nicole McLaughlin

The New York based designer may take a somewhat tongue in cheek approach to her designs. With her ever-evolving exploration around upcycling and sustainable fashion.

But don’t let them fool you.

Her creations are more than just a gimmick.

From a multi-tool bralette, Haribo shorts and a jacket made from football gloves.

Her creations are all part of a bigger message in the world of environmentally conscious design.

That the only way to combat overconsumption is to produce less and repurpose more.

And she’s certainly caught the attention of some global brands.

Not only has she collaborated with the likes of Merrell, HOKA, Crocs, Vans and more.

She’s also Arc’teryx’s first ever design ambassador, helping turn trash into treasure.

We’re big fans of Nicole’s vision and for taking us somewhere new with her designs.
