5 x bits of culture to add to your weekend itinerary

Film: To Be Frank. A short film that celebrates those who hold the surfer communities together. The film explores a community of ocean dwellers via the film’s star, 73-year-old free spirit, Frank Paine, whose life orbits around a two-block stretch of beach.

Book: We Were Rad. The 450 page, three-year project is packed with images covering the rich history of the UK BMX scene throughout the 1980’s. Alongside some seriously nostalgic visulas there’s words and stories from the kids on the streets and those who rode the championships.

Podcast: High Performance Podcast E229: James Milner: Turning doubters into believers

Challenge: Fancy challenging yourself to not only do a 2.5k or 5k run but doing it dressed as Santa? Then head to Battersea Park this Sunday the 17th December for the free Runna Santa Run event. Hit the link to find out more details – LINK

Space: We’re loving this creative use of urban space! Located atop Montjuic, Barcelona you’ll find La Foixarda Rock Climbing Tunnel. This epic free to use climbing space is home to about 120 climbing routes, along the 65 metres of the tunnel walls, with several bouldering routes at different levels to be found and a few more tougher routes for the more experienced. So who’s up for some pedestrian dodging free solo urban climbing?
