Part of a growing community of outdoor collectives and creatives, Advanced.Rock is showing us there’s more to the outdoors than a pair of khaki shorts and battered walking boots.
A passion project created by Liam Furneaux, Advanced Rock has grown from a platform focussed on sharing personal adventures, to a packed platform documenting wider journeys of the outdoors, outdoor brand collaborations and much much more.
But Advanced Rock is more than just a social platform; he’s pretty active outside of it too.
Through collaborations with other outdoor collectives and creatives, such as 114.index and i.holl, and partnerships with brands like Columbia. Advanced.Rock and co are helping to connect and grow a community of enthusiastic modern outdoorists, eager to connect with mother nature.
And through outdoor initiatives, such as Columbia’s ‘The Hike Society’ initiative, they’re actively connecting, not just the eager modern outdoorist with the outdoors but connecting them with others eager to get a taste of the great outdoors.
As a freelance photographer and creative, he’s worked on numerous projects with the likes of Greater Goods, Helinox, and The North Face for their ‘Summer Exploration’ series.
